coupons and cupcakes

first off, i want to congratulate myself on starting to coupon ***pat on the back***
i went to walgreens and bought the new colgate optic white that i've been wanting to try out for $3.99, and received $2 rewards, which i then used on my next transaction (walgreens lets you do up to 6 different transactions in one shopping) of 2 bags of Mars Mix candies (regular 2 for $4, but there was a coupon in the walgreens booklet at the register which knocked it down to 2 bags for $3) and i found 2 pack of Bounty paper towels for $1.50 bringing my total to $4.50 - $2 rewards = $2.50!
so for $6.50:
- colgate optic white - reg. $3.99
- 2 bags of Mars Mix candies - reg. $2.29 each = $4.58
- 2 pack of Bounty paper towels - reg. $2.49
regular price total $11.06 - $6.50 paid = $4.56 difference, about 41% savings. i know it's not the best deal, but i think it's a good start.

toy story birthday party

wow, it has been a while since i posted. so much has come and gone, and summer feels the same way. i have to admit though, i am done with the heat and ready for the coolness that fall brings.
i am gradually settling into our new place, which took us what seems like forever to find and i was starting to doubt if we will ever find a place to call home...it's smaller than our old place, but it's sufficient and have what we need.
now onto the birthday party...i made some party favors for one special little boy celebrating his third birthday this weekend.
